A Relaxed Performance of Pictures at an Exhibition

Ripon Concerts is delighted to introduce a new addition to its calendar: a relaxed performance where a more informal atmosphere is very much welcomed. There's no need to stay still or quiet — audiences are free to respond to the music however feels natural to them.

This performance is particularly suited to children, people with sensory sensitivities, neurodivergent audiences, those living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, and anyone who would simply prefer a less formal concert experience.

Pianist Reina Okada will perform Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition live, accompanied by a screening of the London City Ballet's film performance of the work. The event will last approximately 40 minutes.

There is no fixed ticket price for this performance. Instead, we invite donations so that everyone is able to join us regardless of circumstance.

We hope this will be a welcoming occasion in which all can enjoy live piano and ballet on screen in whatever way suits them best.
